If you need to use colors from a finished list, such as a Pantone or RAL chart, you will probably need to find the closest match for a color that’s not in the chart and you want to use. There are many websites dedicated to this task and it’s a common feature in professional visual communication applications. If you don’t want to bother with a website or you don’t have access to a professional application, you can try this free and open source Windows app, called Color Match. The app comes with a list of CMYK Uncoated colors but you can replace it with your own by editing a simple text file.
