Sometimes composing music is a matter of inspiration. A mental image, a memory, a shared moment, a pleasing sight can inspire emotions we try to translate into sound. But how about translating our favorite colors directly into harmonies through the aid of a program?
I’m not sure if this was experimented before and I couldn’t find anything on the subject online or offline, so I decided to share my effort on tackling the task. The program is called “Color to Chord”, it’s free and open source and it’s available for download on this page.
